This October will mark Cold Control’s 30th anniversary. To celebrate this significant milestone, we wanted to share with you a brief history of the company and how we’ve grown to become one of the UK’s leading suppliers of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Family-run business
Founded in 1989 by Mark Grant, Cold Control quickly became a success after securing contracts with household names Pret A Manger, Starbucks and Subway. Over the years, several members of the Grant family have joined the business, helping take the company to new levels!
ACR Contractor of the Year
Ten years later, Cold Control was awarded their first ACR Contractor of the Year award! We are proud to say that since 1999 we’ve gone on to win the award multiple times – making us the only company to scoop the award on three occasions, as well as being runner-up’s twice.
Exciting projects
Looking back over the years, we’ve had some incredible opportunities – from helping with the altitude, temperature and humidity installation at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Rugby World Cup, to signing a refrigeration and air conditioning contract with leading high street chain, Cote Brasserie.
Local support
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the continuing support of our loyal customers, so to say thank you Cold Control have invested heavily in the Hampshire community – from sponsoring Alresford Musical Festival to the Four Marks Men’s Football Team.
