COVID-19: Update from Cold Control

15.05.20

To deal with the impact of COVID-19, we have implemented the Government recommended anti-viral spread control at our offices and fully briefed all our engineers out in the field on hygiene best-practice. We will be continuing to monitor the situation and respond in accordance with the recommended Government guidelines.

As the situation develops, we will be implementing our robust contingency plans. For more information, click here.

24.03.20

Following Boris Johnson’s COVID-19 announcement on 23.03.20, Cold Control has implemented some further measures to better protect both our staff members and customers. As of today:

  • All routine maintenance appointments will be postponed until further notice. If you deem your appointment to be absolutely essential, please contact us on 0844 967 0573 or maintenance@coldcontrol.co.uk.

  • All air conditioning installations will be postponed until further notice.

  • We will continue to offer an emergency service for essential breakdowns for all customers, prioritising our maintenance and contract customers. Please contact us on 0844 967 0573 or service@coldcontrol.co.uk. All usual contact channels for existing contract and maintenance customers will also remain open.

Cold Control will continue to monitor all Government communications and will be prepared to return back to our normal working practise as and when it is safe to do so.

In the meantime, Cold Control would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your business over the years and hope that you, your staff and all family members stay safe and heed the Government's advice.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact us on 0844 967 0573 or admin@coldcontrol.co.uk.

13.03.20

Cold Control Services Limited has responsibility to our customers, staff, visitors and the community during this time. We would like to assure you of the precautions and actions we have in place relating to the current situation.

High Risk Areas

  • Ability to service customer needs remotely

  • Ability to attend customer site for service, maintenance and installation visits etc.

  • Ability to meet installation schedules

  • Stock availability

Action

We continue to monitor advice from Public Health England and have taken the following actions: Office based staff

  • Promote good hygiene and regular hand washing. We have made hand sanitisers available within the office

  • Inform our staff of best practices to reduce the risk in infection.

  • Risk management approach to staff returning from holiday. We have required staff to advise of all overseas visits.

  • Currently we are asking all staff to take their laptops home each evening.

  • As and when required, all office-based staff are able to work from home with the phone systems transferring to mobiles. Due to extreme weather issues, we have experience of running the office with the staff based at home.

Non office-based staff

  • Our sales and remote support team have received the same advice as office-based staff and are prepared to undertake video-calls if deemed appropriate.

Remote servicing and installation teams

  • We believe that the remote workers are in a lower risk category than office-based staff due to the nature of their work. At this stage, we believe that we have significant capacity and we are not anticipating any service delays but continue to monitor the situation. There may be certain areas where we will be required to use service providers to ensure the overall service is not diminished.

Customer responsibility

  • We are asking that all customers inform Cold Control Services Limited of any known cases of the virus at sites that we are due to attend. This will enable us to risk manage and send the appropriate staff member.

  • In order to avoid an abortive visit charge, we ask that customers inform Cold Control if their site has been closed or is not currently being manned outside of normal working hours.

Cold Control Services Limited are heavily monitoring this very fluid situation to ensure we can still provide our customers the service which they deserve. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at admin@coldcontrol.co.uk.
